Fire Marshal / Warden



The names fire warden and marshal are used interchangeably and refers to those who have a responsibility for ensuring the safe evacuation of the premises in an emergency.  They may also be allocated additional fire safety duties.  This course  covers; the procedures in the event of a fire,  the principles of fire prevention,   steps to limit the spread of fire,  general fire safety and the safe use of fire extinguishers.

Level 2  Fire Safety 
Principles


This course is designed for employees who need to develop their basic fire safety awareness in order to assist their employer by undertaking more specific fire safety roles in the workplace to manage fire risk. 

Topics covered include:

  •  The hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace
  •  How fire risk is controlled in the workplace
  •  The role of the nominated fire warden / marshal
  •  The principles and practice of fire safety management at work

On successful completion of the course the candidate will be  awarded the Level 2 Award in Fire Safety.

Fire Safety Management


This course is suitable for those with responsibility for ensuring the fire safety of premises, which may include Health & Safety Managers, Facilities Managers, Office Managers or those seeking a more in depth knowledge of fire safety.
